(Taylor Schealler)

Yo it’s so fucked up That you don’t believe me You know me Why don’t you see me I know you think That you don’t need me Maybe you dont Or Maybe I just wasn’t like the dream me I can’t pretend I don’t miss That way you would treat me This is the shit I miss the most You could always read me And we both know She could never beat me Then again Maybe she already did The day you chose to leave me I just wanted to be happy All I ever wanted was to be happy It was a big deal for me To let you have me I just wanted to be happy I thought that we’d be happy I just wanted to be happy I’m surrounded by you Everywhere I look Your ghost, it still lingers I can remember your taste And the feel of your fingers I remember every date Back when we were dreamers You surrendered to hate They all said you gotta leave her But I needed the way You had me feeling I needed the way You didn’t need me I loved it all. everything. I believed in The things we were doing I just wanted to be happy All I ever wanted was to be happy It was a big deal for me To let you have me I just wanted to be happy I thought that we’d be happy I just wanted to be happy I just wanted to be happy Why don’t you want me? You could have me I just want you to call me Why did you block me? Im calling, please pick up I’m falling, please pick us Went all in, please pick love Im out of trust But for you I’ll give it up Please tell me I’m enough I just wanted to be happy All I ever wanted was to be happy It was a big deal for me To let you have me I just wanted to be happy I thought that we’d be happy I just wanted to be happy

Baby You're Mine

By Brian Hendrix

Wow. Can't believe I never posted this. Had this written for a while. I remember right after I thought of the main line here, which inspired the song, "Baby, you're mine," and the way I said it, that this was one of my top-20 songs before it was even finished. Yeah. I love this song. "Baby, you're mine... baby you're mine." The way it works for me, the second time is a lot quicker, which makes it sound very cool to sing. That's how I do it. Also, the verses immediately bleed into the chorus; that's just how it's set up.
