This is about schizophrenia and describing it as a “blister” on one’s mind. It’s very dark, depressing you could even say, but it’s the truth. Schizophrenia is a blister.
This is a blues lyric about someone that stole another man's woman, and he knows it, and he's going to come looking for him, and get his woman back. It's definitely a typical blues song, kind of an older fashion blue song. To make matters worse it was the guy's best friend that stole his woman which makes him even more angry.
This lyric is about a relationship that's one-sided. All the person asks is that they tell them they care and then the the other person will always be there. It's a fair question to ask. The person gets signed that they don't really care what they need to know so either they stay or move on.
This lyric is about war and his sons and daughters who go off to war. It's about the suffering that they go through, and that the family goes through while they're away. A lot of these wars are meaningless, and as a result many lives are lost in a senseless way. There's no doubt while they're away that the family wonders if they'll ever come back home again. The chances are slim when you're out there fighting a war in the trenches. If you do come home you're definitely one of the lucky ones.
This lyric is a love song about a man who lost his wife and has a locket in his pocket and a picture of her that he saved to put inside the locket. I'm sure a lot of people have pictures of loved ones saved somewhere whether it be in a book or in a frame or in a locket. So this song is definitely sentimental, sad, a love song, dreamy, and gives one a lot of thought.
