It's Not So Bad
This is definitely more in the vein of a Hank Williams-style country song. It's basically a guy realizing that his broken heart isn't so bad after all. In fact, he might even be better off without that sort of strife in his life.

She mighta never loved me
Lord knows she wouldn't touch me
But she surely loves to judge me
And that's so sad
But as I sit here drinkin'
Whiskey's leadin' me to thinkin'
That my care for her is shrinkin'
And it's not so bad
(Chorus)
Her careless heart has swept away
Any care I might cling to today
Her cold and restless soul burns out so fast
The thoughts of her I used to have
I'm glad they're gone; not lookin' back, and
A whole life I get to live without her here...
It's not so bad
She said she didn't need me
And so I tried not to be needy
But her turning away freed me
For this, I'm glad
Broke the chains that used to bind me
To a stone that would remind me
No longer carry it behind me
And it's not so bad
(Chorus)
But I won't sit here and tell lies
Her reflection sparks in my eyes
When I feel low in life
Or if I'm feelin' mad
There ain't no other way to put it
I realize I dodged a bullet
That revelation pulls me through it
And it's not so bad
(Chorus)
