Healing is a one-way process, there is no going back, either you take every step of it, ups and downs, bitter and sweet, There’s no going back. Or you never take that train. We all should understand that healing is not a short or medium-long process. It takes a lot of time, energy, commitment, perseverance and persistence. This is why most of people start their healing and once they get a little better, they think they’ve gone all the way, therefore, they burry a big part of their problems without realizing that. This song is a call to every single person to put more energy and effort in their healing, it gives hope to each one of us to get out of that dark zone they hide in for so long. It’s time to be real!
The journey from birth to parenthood
Cleric is about a relationship gone bad. All it's become is painful, and leaving a person feeling foolish and used. They're fed up, with all the lies and deceit, and tell them that It's Time to say goodbye, you can go do this to another guy. When you had enough in a relationship it becomes like a thorn in your side, it's always there pricking you. It makes you insane, and sometimes it makes people want to commit suicide. I had a friend who did that very thing.
Cleric is about me and my ex-girlfriend. After we broke up in 2018, we figured out that we were better friends than we were a couple. She eventually got engaged in 2021, and that changed our relationship slightly. Her fiance was very jealous of me for some reason, he just couldn't understand how two people that dated could now be friends. Never mind, that we have a dog that we've shared since 4 months old, and he's now six. So anyway, he leaves her because he can't take her relationship with me anymore. When I talk to her on the phone and asked her why he left he said it's all about you. Immediately I felt really guilty about it, but then realized I didn't do anything wrong, or did we do anything wrong. So I wrote this lyric, about please don't shut me out from our friendship. Stay strong, and tell him that in order for him to come back, he has to accept our relationship. I am no threat to him, or do I ever interject myself into their business.
This lyric is about relapse on any type of addiction. I've gone to bed many times, laying there staring into darkness and crying. I knew my dreams were going to be dark and black, because I had relapsed back into my addiction of drugs and alcohol. It's a place I never wanted to go back to, unfortunately I did, and my dreams are consumed with. Today thank God, I'm dreaming more happy dreams, blue dreams like the sky without a cloud
