Till I hear Your Voice
Wrote these lyrics for a friend that went through a very bad break up, she tried moving on but this man had a hold over her, so I tell the story so many felt, and knows so well that one that got away with more than memories they took your heart along

In the dead of night,
the sound of the ticking on the wall,
Is all that could be heard,
Once I used the sound too countdown the minutes
To when you are in my arms
Now it is a the sound of each passing hour
through these lonely nights.
I still listen for your voice,
But the only awnser is the empty pillow,
where once you layed your head.
I call your name in the middle of the night,
only to recieve the recieve the reply
from your empty closet space.
Why does it seem that the day
you walked out the door you
took the sunshine away.
Why does it seem that all I could feel
is the numbness from the cold rain.
But each and every day, I become stronger
a little warmer.
Till I hear your voice, or see your face
Crash comes down my walls,
And down the mountain I slide,
to face the uphill battle once again.
Somewhere I know there will be a time
When seeing you will not cause me pain,
Where hearing the melody of your voice,
will no longer push me down on my knees.
But for now I will keep on getting back up
climbing my mountain one step at a time.
Why does it seem that the day
you walked out the door you
took the sunshine away.
Why does it seem that all I could feel
is the numbness from the cold rain.
But each and every day, I become stronger
a little warmer.
Till I hear your voice, or see your face
Crash comes down my walls,
And down the mountain I slide,
to face the uphill battle once again.
Why does it seem that the day
you walked out the door you
took the sunshine away.
Why does it seem that all I could feel
is the numbness from the cold rain.
But each and every day, I become stronger
a little warmer.
Till I hear your voice, or see your face
Crash comes down my walls,
And down the mountain I slide,
to face the uphill battle once again.
