I haven't written a serious song in a while. This one popped in my head when I was least expecting it, and it sort of wrote itself how it wanted to be. It's a relatively short song, but I do like what it's saying. It's basically a man telling a woman all the things he'll never be, as to not get her expectations up. Though one of those things he'll never be also includes a man that will break her heart.

Yet when we're grown, and especially when we have kids of our own, we end up pushing the same little pearls of wisdom out there.
