Just listening to a playlist of old country music one day, and yet another song comes on with the theme "I'm sorry I cheated. It won't happen again. I love you!" It just drove me crazy. Where are the songs asking people not to cheat? So, I figured I'd write one. This is about not making that mistake and respecting the one you're with. Is that not a real good place to start?
I've written a lot of western-themed songs, but this is probably the one I had the most fun with. It basically just tells the story, from a man's perspective, about how his girlfriend was an outlaw and robbed banks and shot people. I had a lot of fun with this, a fast-paced country-western song that would probably sound great on radio.
A song about waking up from a coma; getting another chance at life!
Like Nothing Else describes moments in your life that are so special. These moments make you feel so happy, alive, and there is really nothing that compares to that special feeling.
This lyric is all about the need for certainty in love - when you take a chance on this one person and it's risky because you may have been heart-broken before. This time, you need assurance. You have to prove you're open to love and they have to prove they are to be trusted with your heart. You gradually open yourself - your 'layers'. The overall atmosphere/vibes of the lyrics are very deep, mystical, and weirdly romantic. I purposely did not make any distinctive verses, hooks, or choruses because I wanted to leave the autonomy to the artist - the lyrics flow quite fluidly. Genres: Rnb, Hip Hop, Pop, Rap (this could be used for the melody, accompanying a rap song). These lyrics fit perfectly into the aforementioned genres.
